What a great day in the children’s department today. We had several more kids come today, some of which had come before. It was wonderful to see them back! Once everyone came in the room, we had to get busy because we had a lot to do today. We started a mission project for the children’s department based on what we are learning. We are learning to live courageously for God as we uncover His truth. Living courageously means sharing with others what we have learned. So to put action to our words, we made Agents in Action invitations. It is our mission to invite at least 3 people this week to come, learn and play with us here at River Ridge.
Once we had the invitations finished, (they included blow pops so we all had to have a blow pop of our own) we went to find where X marks the spot. Students had to read the clues and figure out the answers and boy was it fun. Once we finished the hunt, we went back into the classroom and learned the truth for this week. We learned to say no to temptation just like David did when he refused to kill King Saul in the Old Testament. We played a bulls eye game, worshipped God through songs and made a wicked warrior headband to remind us to be a warrior like David! Like I said before, it was an awesome day and I thank God for what He is doing in the children’s department at River Ridge.

As we continue our Agents in Actions series, we keep on looking for clues to uncover the truth God wants us to learn. At church we found footprints leading up to our Daily Mission Headquarters door, showing us where we could uncover the truth. Once inside, we had to figure out a grid puzzle to find God’s truth for this week. It did not take long for the Agents to figure the puzzle out. God’s truth for this week is, God is always with us. We learned about a woman named Ruth who did not know what was going to happen to her in the future, but she put her trust in God. God blessed her with a new husband, a place for her mother-in-law, Naomi, and a family that traces their roots all the way to Jesus. We then looked at our own lives and realized that God has always been with us too. He was with us when we were born and will be with us in the future so we made a book to help us remember God is always with us. Then to help us remember the story of Ruth, we played a “pack your suitcase and go” game. Agents had to pack a suitcase with just the right things and then make their way back with their suitcase before the other team made it back. It was close, but the girls won by a second. It is wonderful to uncover God’s truth. We have fun as we play, make crafts, study a Bible story, and then sing.
Take care and I hope to see you next week.

What an awesome day with our Agents in Action! We started the day with taking our thumb prints then decoded a puzzle to discover how God wants us to always tell the truth. As Agents for God, we uncovered a family in the Bible who used goat skins to tell a lie. I can not imagine putting goat hair on my skin to fool somebody. We learned that this lie, along with others, caused a lot of damage in the family. Does this sound familiar to anyone? The lesson for all of us is that lying, no matter how big or small, hurts everyone. To remind us to be honest, we started making “Be Honest” puppets. We ran out of time before we finished them so all the “agents” were told to finish them at home and bring them back next week for a prize. If you weren’t here this week, you can still make a puppet at home to bring in for a prize.
Keep up the good work all you agents in action and remember God has an action plan for us to follow every week. Put others first, always try and make peace instead of fighting and now tell the truth. Remember as an agent, we are to show others the way to God. I hope you have an awesome week and I look forward to seeing you next Sunday.

It is a beautiful day with the sun shinning. I am sorry we did not get to have church this morning but I understand it is better to be safe than sorry. I did missed being with the kids today so I wanted to remind them of a couple of things:
- Bring sunglasses next Sunday
- Wear the funniest looking hat you can find next Sunday. If you have more than one funny looking hat, bring it with you in case someone did not bring one.
- Next Sunday we are going to uncover how to be a peace maker instead of a fighter.
I hope to see you soon and bring a friend!

Have you ever wanted to be an Agent in Action? Uncovering the truth about something and then making sure everyone knew what you uncovered? Well, put on your sunglasses, your cool agent looking hat, and spy coat and come on down. We have started our Agents in Action series where we challenge kids to live courageously as God’s Special Agents. We start out in our Daily Mission Headquarters where we uncover the truth for the week. Then we head off to worship where we learn that God calls us to be strong and courageous and stand up for what is right. Finally we head to the Tech lab where we put the truth of the lesson together and make an object that reminds us to live courageously during the week.
We have a great time together and I would love for you to come and join the fun. Last week we learned the importance of family and uncovered how God blesses those who put others first. This coming Sunday we will be learning how not to fight . What will we uncover as we learn, play, and grow? I hope to see you soon!
